Business Development Manager – USA
Business Development Manager required to lead the growth of engineered safety critical and transfer system sales in the Oil & Gas North America market.
The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of sales in North America for both the KLAW Products and KLAW LNG business lines. Likely to be a degree qualified engineer, the candidate will have a proven track record of technical sales in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors; preferably with a good understanding of valves/flow control or LNG operations. A deep understanding of the US Oil & Gas Market is essential, including relationships with oil majors, EPCs, operators and distributors.
KLAW is the global leader in the design and manufacture of LNG Hose Transfer Systems, Breakaway Couplings, Emergency Release Couplings and Dry Break Couplers; vital components in the safe transfer of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. KLAW was recently acquired by the Trelleborg Group adding the scale and international presence of this successful Group to KLAW’s market leading positions.
KLAW already has established sales in the USA & Canada with some distributors & direct accounts. The task ahead is to conduct an in-depth, assessment of the North American market for KLAW’s products and LNG systems, to value the addressable market by sector and to identify the areas of greatest potential. The candidate shall develop a detailed business plan for the growth of sales in North America that will outline the areas of focus, sales channels, key actions and resources. Execution of the business plan will be central to the role and the candidate should be able to demonstrate past achievements in this respect; including the ability to manage key accounts, identify and follow projects from feasibility study to contract, and to interact with technical standard’s bodies.
The role will ideally be based in Houston and will report to the Commercial Director – KLAW LNG, based in the UK. This is an opportunity for the chosen candidate to plan and execute a growth strategy for the business in North America with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Remuneration package, including bonus, to reflect the significance of the role.
